FAQ
What kind of art is this?
Watercolour illustration in a vintage storybook style, with soft washes and fine ink lines. The colour stays in a narrow band across the whole shop: warm browns and tans on cream, with a little olive in the grass and moss. It suits a calm room.
What paper do you print on?
200+ gsm matte fine-art paper. Uncoated, no glare, which is what lets the washes keep their depth under a frame.
Which sizes are available?
Three: 21×30 cm (A4), 30×40 cm and 50×70 cm. All three are standard European frame sizes, so you can use a frame you already own.
Which size should I choose?
50×70 cm is the one we would pick, and the one these pieces are drawn for. Every print is composed with generous space around the animal, and at this size that space finally does its work: the washes open up and one print carries the whole wall above a cot, a reading chair or a bed. It is the size people come back for after starting smaller.
30×40 cm is the safe middle. A single print above a chest of drawers or a changing table, enough presence to hold that spot on its own.
21×30 cm is the small one. Right for a shelf, an alcove or a narrow strip of wall, and for a row of three where the set does the work rather than any single print.
Whichever you pick, measure the wall first. Prints read smaller in a room than they do on a screen, and going one size up is the thing people wish they had done.
Will these match my nursery scheme?
If your room is built on cream, oak, linen and warm neutrals, yes. If you are working with strong blues, greys or pinks, these prints will sit beside that rather than match it. There is no terracotta and no blue in the woodland range.
Are frames included?
No. Prints are sold unframed so you can match them to the room. Our photos show a slim light oak frame, which is the look we design for, though a thin black or white frame works just as well.
Is there a white border around the print?
The artwork prints edge to edge. Each piece is composed with generous space around the subject, so it looks balanced framed with or without a mount.
How long does delivery take?
Production takes 2–5 working days, plus shipping. Estimates are on the Shipping & Delivery page.
Where are the prints made?
At a partner press in or near your own region in the EU. Nothing travels across the world from a single warehouse.
Is shipping free?
Within the European Union, shipping is free on orders over €59. Outside the EU a flat rate of €19.95 applies, whatever the order comes to.
How do I care for my print?
Handle it by the edges and keep it out of direct sunlight. Behind glass it will look new for years.
